"Where the Hawaiian Culture and Plantation Life Blend"

Once a crossroads between Hawaiian culture and western plantation life, the estate and plantation towne provide a glimpse back in time and remain today as memories of Maui's sugar and pineapple production days. Sugar cane and pineapple fields are still in operation all around the estate, as Maui's last operating mill and the only U.S. cannery are located nearby.  Among the grounds of this old estate, is where traditional Hawaiian culture emerges once again, through the continuing educational program of Hawaiian healing practices.

Escape to Maui's Beautiful North Shore and Upcountry

Haiku Plantation Inn is located within the north shore and quaint upcountry community of Maui.  Beautiful beaches, tropical rainforests, nature preserves, pineapple and sugar cane fields, hike and bike trails, green rolling hills, daily rainbows and paniolo, Hawaiian cowboy, country all merge here, along the cooler slopes of Haleakala. It is Hawaii and Maui at its best with historic plantation townes, wonderful boutiques and galleries, fine restaurants, working farms, beautiful scenery, friendly people and our own "Fourth of July" rodeo and parade.

The Inn's Beginnings:   Opened as Maui's first and original bed and breakfast in 1986, the Inn is lovingly restored and reflects its heritage and place in the Hawaiian culture.   Here, guests can escape the crowds and relax in an unspoiled tropical atmosphere while exploring the many activities our island has to offer. The Inn's central location is perfect for exploring Maui.

Optional Amenities:  Hawaiian & spiritual practitioners provide cultural activities, concepts of organic farming, traditional wellness services, and sustainability for an improved environment.

S
ightseeing and Activities:  We will be happy to guide our guests in their selections of Maui activities while visiting this beautiful island
