Maui's North Shore: Paia, Haiku and Huelo areas
Paia: Maui's Eclectic Plantation Town
You won't find large resorts on the North Shore: Here
you will find an eclectic mix of hippie, yuppie, new age, spiritually
& culturally diverse, sustainability passionate folks, from locally
born and raised to the latest arrivals all sharing this slice of
tropical heaven. A true spirit of Aloha prevails, as this local crowd
from diverse backgrounds and cultures share their precious north shore
with visitors from around the world.
Art galleries, anitque
shops, boutiques, surf shops, internet cafes, the island's best health
food store, a variety of local and ethnic eateries , spa and wellness
providers, even a tattoo parlor along with the town's general
merchants, are scattered down the quaint streets of this vintage town.
Add
the love of big waves, at one of the world's most magnificent water
sports capitals, and the North Shore truly becomes a wonderful place to
explore as a destination. Haiku Plantation Inn, one of the
area's most noted accommodations and an award winning B&B, is
located in the center of Maui's "North Shore". Minutes to Paia and
Maui's most beautiful beaches.
Take your time, things are slower here but we like it that way.
